Strong, articulate, determined and not intimidated, today we celebrate one of Nigeria’s strongest female voices, BringBackOurGirls Co-Chairperson, Oby Ezekwesili.

Ezekwesili holds a master’s degree in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos, as well as a Master of Public Administration degree from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.

She served as Federal Minister of Solid Minerals and Federal Minister of Education during the second-term presidency of Olusegun Obasanjo and as Vice-President of the World Bank’s Africa division from May 2007 to May 2012.

Oby Ezekwesili, is founder of BringBackOurGirls movement , which seeks to campaign for the freedom of the over 200 girls kidnapped from a boarding school in Chibok, Borno State, Nigeria in 2014.
