Capital Oil boss, Ifeanyi Ubah, is not new to the political terrain of Nigeria. He contested at the last Anambra elections under the Labour Party, where he came third before defecting to the PDP. He helped former President Goodluck Johnathan organise the Transformation Ambassador of Nigeria (TAN) for his re-election bid in 2015. Ever since his sojourn to the murky waters of politics, the philanthropist and heavy weight entrepreneur is not relenting in his quest to govern the good people of Anambra state. He has invested a lot to the development of the state in a different sphere.
Despite his recent spat with NNPC and the federal government, Ifeanyi was arrested by the DSS and detained for months over alleged debt that runs into billions of Naira. NNPC alleged Ifeanyi to have sold some substantial amount of PMS, stored in his Tank Farm.
The business mogul is looking to replace the incumbent Governor Willi Obiano, who is also seeking a re-election bid.The Alhaji Waziri Adamu-led screening committee has cleared Ifeanyi Ubah alongside four other aspirants to contest for the parties primaries.
With his deeply rooted pedigree with the PDP and his deep pocket with financial fire power, Ifeanyi is looking forward to clinch the party tickets and possibly providence grants him his heart desire to govern the state.
