The Wheatbaker hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos was the venue for Mobile West Africa 2017, one of Africa’s flagship tech conferences. The seventh edition of the event themed ‘Defining the Future of Mobile Growth’ attracted stakeholders from within and beyond the continent.
The two-day event which is scheduled to hold on the 17th and 18th of May 2017, kicked off today, May 17th, with various panels discussing on different tech issues like industry influences, mobile’s place on the continent and where to invest, in the morning session, while a different group of panelist comprising of Agatha Emina, Riccardo Pasqualotto, Matthew Talbot and Aymard Bamal discussed ‘The Power of Mobile and How you can take Advantage’. The discussion was chaired by Mayor Esiaba, a mobile marketing specialist.
The event which is hosted by Matthew Dawes, the founder of All Amber, is expected to continue tomorrow at 8:00am to 5:00pm with an award ceremony, The West Africa Mobile Awards 2017, bringing the event to a close.
