In the last quarter of 2016, I wrote a Play to address slut-shaming. Every woman has a story to share, even men!

The response was out of this world! Over 60 tickets sold in a fortnight. Before D-day, I had sold 127 tickets! The Play was performed at Theatre Republic. Wole Oguntokun’s contribution to theatre deserves applause. The ethnic feel, benches made of wood, woven mat as wall paper, creaking fans- like the sweat in the pounding of yam, adds to the character of the Republic.

4 shows and a packed hall. People laughed and people cried. The Crown Troupe of Africa led by Segun Adefila gave a sterling performance. I am lucky to call them family.

I hope I have been able to trigger conversation around a critical topic. Slut-shaming is a foolish practice.

Thank you all.
