Mothers, there is no doubt it can be overwhelming getting housework done with a baby in the home. Some days you are so busy that it can be difficult to even find enough time to take a shower. Luckily, there are tips that you can use that may make getting housework done with a baby a tad easier. I hope some of them help you.

1.Take advantage of naps

One of the best ways you can get chores done without interruption from your baby is when your baby takes a nap. You could get quite a lot done at this time; you could equally take a nap yourself after the stress.

2.Clean as go

Try to clean as you go, its very helpful.  Whenever you cook and have meals with the family, try to wash dishes as you dirty them. Try not to pile up work because it becomes too much work later.Ergo, don’t put off what you can do at that moment for later.

3. Tidy up before bed

If you’re not too exhausted, tidying up before bed can really help. It’s amazing how much you can get cleaned in 10 minutes. You can use this time to put away toys, load  dishes or fold a load of laundry. If you do this, be sure to stop after 10 or 15 minutes. If not you many not get the amount of sleep that you need.

4. Ask for help

Don’t be a super woman! There’s nothing wrong with asking for help; It’s important to remember that we all need help from time to time and we shouldn’t feel bad asking for it. Most grandmas and aunts, friends and relations will happily keep your baby at their house or sit with them at yours while you clean. Be sure to enlist daddy for help too. He can sit with the baby while you clean or pitch in and help with the chores too.

5. Hire someone

If your budget allows for it, perhaps you could have someone come to your home to clean for you. Just having a housekeeper clean your home one day per week can make a huge difference. You could have them do basic things like dishes, cleaning and laundry. If you have a babysitter who watches your baby in your home while you work, maybe you could ask them to do a bit of light cleaning when the time allows for it.

7. Multitask

If you don’t currently multitask your chores, you should consider it. Take a few minutes and think about all of the chores you could start doing at the same time.

Getting housework can be exhausting when you have a baby, but it’s important to remember that it’s just a house. Take care not to out do yourself.
