Court proceedings were disrupted in Eboyin state -Nigeria’s Southern region – on Friday, as hundreds of violent youths brandishing various weapons stormed the court complex chanting war songs, and causing the judges and court workers to scamper for safety.

Ebonyin Police spokesman, Mr. Chris Anyanwu who confirmed the incident at the court, according to The Nation, however stated that his office was yet to be properly briefed on the matter.

A similar incident had played out in Ekiti state recently as hoodlums alleged to be supporters of the new governor elect, Ayo Fayose
besieged the court and disrupting a court proceedings that was not favour of the governor.

The Ekiti judge was smuggled out to avoid being lynched by the angry youths.
