When Senator Ademola Adeleke defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to seek the party’s ticket at the Osun West by-elections,he received massive support from members of his family and won against the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate Mudashir Hussein.

After Ademola’s emergence as senator of the federal republic, his political influence spread like a wild fire across the state, as he basked in the popularity of his late brother Isiaka Adeleke who died mysteriously in April 2017.

As the Incumbent Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola’s tenure draws to its conclusion, he is in dire need of a successor, who will negate any probing, from an opposition as Governor. From political permutations, all fingers are pointing towards the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), to win the governorship election next year.

Before his death, late Senator Isiaka Adeleke was next in line to be the APC candidate for the Gubernatorial elections, which would have had him govern the state once more, after the military under the autocratic rule of Gen Sani Abacha cut his tenure short as the first civilian governor of the state.

http://Happenings.com.ng gathered from a reliable source that, in a plot to break  PDP and Senator Ademola Adeleke’s influence in Osun state, APC is currently romancing Senator Ademola’s older brother, Chief Deji Adeleke, billionaire businessman and father of music star Davido.

It is their aim to have him take the party’s Governorship ticket, in a counter move against Senator Ademola Adeleke’s growing influence and PDP’s hold in Osun state.

As a Gubernatorial candidate for the opposition, Deji Adeleke has the solid family pedigree and financial strength to compete against  PDP in the the next election
