DJ Olu’s Burial: Sources Allege the Presence of Suspected Herbalists

Grieving parents are sometimes irrational with their words and actions, some have been found to have spoken abusively to God in their moments of grief, this is a reason the Yorubas pray they die before their children.

Dapo Abiodun, the owner of Hayden Petroleum, felt the cold hands of fate, as he witnessed the untimely death of his son, Olugbenga, also known as DJ Olu.

DJ Olu is a close friend of Nigerian music star David Adeleke popularly known as Davido and died recently, although DJ Olu has since been buried at the Ebony Burial cemetery, sources are however asking questions about the presence of some individuals who were allegedly garbed in costumes that looked like those of herbalists.

Since the burial there has been many insinuations about who these people were, they allegedly came in after pastors and well-wishers were asked to leave. While many were of the thought that he might belong to a group who decided to pay their last respect in their ceremonial attires, others believe that the way and manner he died leave more questions than answers and according to the Yoruba culture, there are means to ensure that whoever is responsible for his death is punished.

Although it is unconfirmed if those allegedly present at the burial site, were persons other than the undertakers, our prayers are with the family, that they have the fortitude to bear this loss.
