The Lagos social scene at the moment is in shock, because without warning, operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commision (EFCC) raided club 57, located on Awolow road, ikoyi,arresting party goers and confiscating luxury cars.
According to the EFCC justifying the raid, the commission said it was acting on intelligence reports that those who were picked up in the late hours on Thursday and the early hours of Friday were fraudsters who are known to lavishly pop bottles in the club from their ill gotten wealth.
At the moment, the weekend has gone quiet in Lagos state as party goers and many people who enjoy night life have decided to stay home, so they are not caught in a raid by security operatives.
While many are yet reeling from the aftermath of the EFCC raid in Club 57, many have come out to blame Noble Igwe’s social media post for pointing fingers at club goers as those who perpetuate.
