After several attempts to become the President of Actor’s Guild Of Nigeria(AGN) failed, Nollywood star, Emeka Ike has joined a partisan politics.
He has just flagged off his campaign to contest for Imo State House Of Assembly.
Ike is contesting under the umbrella body of the Young Progressive Party (YPP).
Recall that this ladies’ man star, Ike started contending for AGN’s top position in 2005 after Ejike Asiegbu’s tenure as President.
He also contested for AGN president against Ibinabo Fiberesima and lost the election to her.
Throughout Ibinabo’s tenure as AGN’s president, the duo was frequent in court. Both of them reached an agreement at the peace and reconciliation conference in Enugu in 2017.
One of the forces to reckon with, Emeka Ike won the first celebrity edition of Gulder Ultimate Search.
51-year-old Emeka Ike is known for his unique interpretation of lover boy role in movies.
With this bold step, Emeka Ike has joined Desmond Elliot, Daddy Showkey, Funke Adesiyan, and others to become an entertainer in partisan politics.
