The trend of social media begging has taken a turn for the worse, that celebrities are victims. A trip down any social media platform is to be confronted by a barrage of social media begging.
However, celebrities bear the brunt of social media begging, as these individuals get into the DM of stars begging for money. These beggars troll celebrities who do not comply with their incessant demands.
The latest victim of social media trolls, is oil mogul, Femi Otedola. Several online beggers were in his page trolling him after news of his governorship ambition became known. In their own opinions, he was greedy and stingy, thus unfit to lead Lagosians. Clearly, he had ignored the barrage of begging he must have received.
The mogul as expected did not respond to his trolls, further incensing them.
Celebrities who a have come out to speak against social media begging, are Tunde Ednut, Uti Nwachukwu, Annie Idibia.
Recall that the billionaire after several months of denying his intentions to run as governor of Lagos will be contesting. Hence, the 2019 governorship race will be a stiff one. Furthermore, Femi Otedola will contest on the platform of PDP.
Moreover, Nigerians have mixed feelings as Femi Otedola delves into politics.
