Children can face disproportionately greater risk from environmental hazards because they are kids’ and have smaller bodies, faster metabolisms, shorter attention spans, less knowledge, and fewer resources.
The open question is just how exactly to value these reductions in risks to children, risks which can arise either from a direct effect on their health, or an indirect effect on their life chances because of illness in other family members or the degradation of the environment.
The way a child is raised reflects on his attitude, composure, lifestyle, dress sense, sense of humor, choice of words and association. If a child is raised in a quiet environment, then that child will learn a peaceful life unlike a child raised by a wife-beating father, a nagging wife and drug dealers as siblings.
Media violence in television, movies, music and video games and its effects on society, Vary widely, but a growing number of scholars, psychologists, public health officials and others have suggested that exposure to media violence leads to violent behavior in children and adults, a more casual attitude toward violence in the real world, and higher levels of fear about the world outside the television or video screen.
Undoubtedly, television plays the most important role in our lives. The medium, because it is the cheapest form of entertainment, in some houses, the television is perpetually “on” even without anyone watching.
Since there is no scope for imaginative games in the lives of busy parents, television seems to be the most inexpensive way of filling the gap and playing the role of an ideal baby sitter. On the same way, many parents buy videos that they think can make their kids smart.

Advantages of Television
Indeed, television (TV) has its good sides. It can be entertaining and educational, and can open up new worlds for kids, giving them a chance to travel the globe, learn about different cultures, and gain exposure to ideas they may never encounter in their own community.

Increased household television use may also affect daily routines such as eating and communication patterns and may decrease time spent on other activities. This in turn may affect kids’ sleep, weight, grades, behaviour. Even sometimes, it can be associated with aggressive and long term antisocial behaviour, as researches indicate.
Domestic violence
Domestic violence can lead children to develop an array of age-dependent negative effects. . Children who witness violence in the home and children who are abused may display many similar psychologic effects.
These children are at greater risk for internalized behaviors such as anxiety and depression, and for externalized behaviors such as fighting, bullying, lying, or cheating.
They also are more disobedient at home and at school, and are more likely to have social competence problems, such as poor school performance and difficulty in relationships with others.
Child witnesses display inappropriate attitudes about violence as a means of resolving conflict and indicate a greater willingness to use violence themselves
