Street Style Takes Centre Stage at Heineken Lagos Fashion Week 2018


It is no longer news that the Heineken Lagos Fashion Week 2018 has come to a glamorous end. This fashion fair is committed to the growth and promotion of upcoming fashion talents in Africa.

Also,the Heineken Lagos Fashion Week 2018, attracted connoisseurs of fashion, worldwide.

Furthermore, designers like; Sisiano, Orange Culture, Mai Atafo, Meena, Nkwo, Eki Orleans, just to mention a few, showcased their eclectic designs on the runway.

Fashion label Sisiano, while speaking with Happenings about their design on the runway said:

“Tonight the collection was as though they were aristocrats, which is referencing the Fela women and his wives. Over a period of time and that was portrayed in theatre. It was brought to life and the colours were amazing.”

While designers battled it out for design supremacy on the runway, Happenings paid attention to the street style of attendees.

The creativity of fashion enthusiasts with regards street style fashion. Accordingly, fashion may be leaving the trend of avant-garde unrealistic design to every day more relatable wears.

The Heineken Lagos Fashion Week 2018, was infused with colours and style identity. Clearly with regards fashion, Africa has come a long way and it can only get better from hereon.
