Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has appealed to the All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers in the state House of Assembly to return from their self exile.
According to The Nation, He said is ready to work with the embattled Speaker, Adewale Omirin and his APC colleagues to develop the state.
He noted that the hues and cries from pro-Omirin lawmakers that their lives are no longer safe in the state in view of the leadership tussle in the assembly were laced with lies and unnecessary political scheming.
He said it is his duty to guarantee the lives and property of all Ekiti citizens as the chief security officer.
Omirin had said the 19 lawmakers opposed to the emergence of Dele Olugbemi as the factional Speaker could only return to Ekiti from Lagos, if Fayose could guarantee their safety.
