FG Keeps promise; releases N471.8m for Super Eagles, Falcons’ salaries

The Presidency has kept true to its words as news coming in reveals that the Federal Government has released a total sum of N471.8m for the payment of the salaries and allowances of Super Eagles and Super Falcons.

Vanguard reports that the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation released the mandate to Central Bank of Nigeria for payment of the naira equivalent of US$1,173,820.00 at N305/$ to Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, for the payment of the outstanding winning bonuses for Super Eagles in the 2018 World Cup Qualifying Matches and for the Super Falcons’ participation in the 10th Women’s Africa Nations Cup.

Recall the President through his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari had promised to pay the Super Falcons their outstanding salaries/bonuses within 24 hours after the team protested the non- payment of their allowances at the National Assembly on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 … Read here https://happenings.com.ng/146047-2/

Similarly, another mandate for N113.8 million has also been released by Office of Accountant General of the Federation for the payment of wining bonus for Super Eagles in the 2018 World Cup Qualifying matches; and for the Super Falcon’s participation in the 10th Women’s Africa Nation’s Cup.
