Former Barcelona boss blasts Enrique, says anybody can beat Barcelona now

Former Barcelona boss, Cesar Luis Menotti has claimed that Luis Enrique’s side “can lose to anyone” La Capital reports.

The 1978 World Cup winner, who guided La Blaugrana to the Copa del Rey, Copa de la Liga and Supercopa in the 1983-84 season and Argentina to world supremacy six years earlier, believes River Plate are capable of beating Barcelona in December’s Club World Cup.

“It’s a match and you have to play it, but this Barcelona under Luis Enrique can lose to anyone, however, if it was against Guardiola’s Barcelona then River Plate would have no chance of winning. Pep’s the best Coach of the last 30 years”

Meanwhile, Enrique whose future at the Nou Camp has been on skay ground despite winning the treble in his first season at Barca has admitted he could walk out on the Nou Camp club at the end of the season to take over the Spanish national team.

The 45-year-old, who played for his country 62 times in an 11-year international career, dropped the bomb in his weekly press conference and threw his Barca future into doubt.

Vicente del Bosque will leave his post as Spain head coach after Euro 2016 next summer, but while Rayo Vallecano’s Paco Jemez has been linked to the role, Luis Enrique was unequivocal when asked if he’d be interested in taking over.

“Yes I would like to… a lot,” he said
