Senator Shehu Sani, representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, has come down heavily on governors over their visit to President, Muhammdu Buhari.
This is coming at a period when the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors paid a courtesy visit to President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Kastina State on Friday.
Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, had earlier stated that the Governors visit to Daura was to condole with the President over the loss of two members of his extended family.
But in reaction to the visit, Sani called on Buhari to put a stop to the frequent visits, which he described as unnecessary.
On his twitter page, the lawmaker wrote “The President must put a stop to the new sycophantic political ritual where Governors abandon their duty post, traveling all the way on a daily basis to climb the Rock of Aso in order to pledge or renew their loyalty.
“They leave behind a moribund deputy & the people at the mercy of Gunmen.”
