The immediate past Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Nasarawa State, Innocent Lagi has shifted his political affiliation to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from the Labour Party (LP).
Lagi, officially joined PDP after weeks of speculations, and said his decision was borne out of a deep conviction that the state needed a change of leadership.
While stating reasons behind his movement from his former party to PDP, and his sudden preference for PDP ahead of All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagi had this to say: “I was an Attorney-General under the All Progressives Congress-led administration and would have easily joined them from the Labour Party, but I am a principled person and my ideals are opposed to the kind of objectives being pursued by APC in Nasarawa State.”
He reiterated that PDP was a reflection of Nigeria and was better positioned to effect the changes Nigerians wanted.
“PDP is more organised, more accommodating and united. It is in a better position to unite Nigerians toward prosperity”, said Lagi
