The iconic Nokia 3310 makes a comeback with android features!

Brace yourselves people! After seventeen years Nokia 3310, deemed to be the world’s most resilient and reliable phone ever made is making a comeback!

Finnish telecom giant, Nokia Corp is set to launch a rebooted version of the iconic phone of the late 19990s and early 2000s alongside a trio of Android-powered Nokia handsets at this year’s Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona on February 26.

The new 3310, which will feature the same “indestructible” body and long-lasting battery as the original, but would cost and weigh less, retailing at 59 euros, or about $62. It’s expected to ship with software packing the same clock, calculator, reminder app, and games (Snake II, Pairs II, Space Impact, and Bantumi) as its ancestor.

The three new additional devices are the Nokia 3, 5, and the China-exclusive Nokia 6, all of which will be powered by Android 7.0. The Nokia 3 and 5 will be low-tier smartphones costing €149 and €199 respectively, while the Nokia 6 is expected to carry a price tag of €249.

Also much-anticipated is Nokia P1 – the company’s first high-end Android flagship.
The P1 boasts an all-metal body that is curved at the corners and looks similar to many of the Android smartphones on the market today.

The P1 is also expected to have a 5.3-inch display with Gorilla Glass 5 and also reportedly comes equipped with dust and water protection. Unlike other Nokia-branded phones launched under HMD, the P1 is expected to have Android Nougat pre-installed and will sport a 22.6-megapixel rear camera, which one UK paper said would be the most powerful camera on a smartphone to date.

One question remains, would you trade in your sleek android phones for the rebooted Nokia 3310?
