Ogechi was sworn in, alongside other new commissioners in Imo State, however her appointment sources divulged to Happenings.com.ng, is generating a chain reaction among people in the state, even as it is also, creating division in the ranks of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Imo state.
Although, she has been working with her brother before this controversial appointment, the question on the lips of Governor Okorocha’s antagonists is that, others who have worked diligently for the electoral success of the party should also be given a chance to serve.
Rumour is also rife that Okorocha may be preparing Ogechi to succeed him as governor of the State.
Until this appointment, Ogechi was the APC House of Representatives candidate for Owerri in 2015 and has served in various capacities since Okorocha became the state governor in 2011.
She had also served as her brother’s Deputy Chief of Staff and Special Adviser on Domestic Matters.
