Picture this, so you’re walking everywhere and all you see are women, women and more women! Now how boring will that be huh? Today November 19th is International Men’s Day and we roll out the drums in celebration of these important figures in our lives.
Over and over again we see multiple campaigns about women empowerment which of course is valid, but the world must realise that even as ” empowered” as men are perceived, they are not super humans without emotions and feelings. As humans, men also deal with depression, insecurities and emotional vulnerability but the unspoken rule and societal expectation states they cover it all up and act all macho.
Hence International Men’s Day calls for “greater commitment to gender equality, too” and this call is the reason for celebration.

On this #InternationalMensDay it’s good to remember that we men are the single biggest threat to women’s safety bar nothing. Remember THAT.
