Pharmacist cum politician, Jimi Agbaje has joined the list of those eyeing the National Chairmanship Seat of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP. The former Lagos State Governorship candidate declared his interest for the PDP plum job when he visited the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose.
Agbaje said he deemed it necessary to pay a visit to Fayose because it will not speak well if the governor who is the only PDP governor from the South West to “get to know about my aspiration in the media, hence, my decision to come here and tell you formally.”
Meanwhile, Fayose said Chairmanship aspirants from the South West must come together to present a single candidate for the position.
He said thus: “It won’t be in the collective interest of the Southwest zone to present six aspirants at the convention as we presently have.”
