It is no longer news that the latest installment of the Jurassic Park franchise is currently in the cinemas, since its inception, the Jurassic Park series is a cautionary tale of what happens when man interferes or tries to control nature.

Twenty five years since the first Jurassic Park movie, in 1993, its setting is still in the fictional and picturesque island of Isla Nublar.  Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is a sequel of Jurassic World released in 2015, which was a revisiting of the park with several cloned and genetically engineered dinosaur.

While Jurassic World in 2015 spotlighted the dinosaurs and their propensity for destruction, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom spotlighted man’s propensity to exploit nature for material gain.

In this latest installment of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the  fictional setting of Islar Nublar and its inhabitants, the dinosaurs are facing possible extinction as a result an active volcano which threatens to lay to waste all in its path. A dinosaur protection program led by Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) is created, in a bid save the dinosaur from extinction. However her lofty aspirations become corrupted when a group of mercenaries, steal these rescued dinosaurs to sell on the black market.

Of course things do not go according to plan and some of these dinosaurs escape, this time it is not the secluded Island of Islar Nublar, this is the real world, with a viable human population, thus human life is faced with a new threat as dinosaurs run free in our world.

The Jurassic World Series is a trilogy and the third part is expected to showcase how humans will live in a world with the possible threats of dinosaurs. Anyway the dice is rolled, Nature always wins.
