There is only one way to console a widow, but that one way is by being able to remember the risk. Corporate religious citizen and world-renowned KICC Senior Pastor, Matthew Ashimolowo, has been taking this risk for over a decade.

He and his beloved wife, Yemisi, in their personal capacities do this yearly to alleviate the agonies and sufferings of the less privileged, especially the needy widows and their fatherless children. Recently , in his native home town, Ode-Omu in Osun State, he doled out assorted gifts items and cash to 17,000 widows from all the nooks and crannies of Osun State, viz: Osogbo, Ede, Ikire, Ile-Ife, Modakeke and other towns in the entire state.

The sundry items included food stuffs like bags of rice, beans, garri, and groundnut oil; clothes also accompanied with cash gifts to sustain them. The charitable event was witnessed by prominent citizens, and traditional rulers in other listed towns.

In the same vein, as the man of God was ably assisted by his wife, members of his London-based church were around to identify with the noble gesture of their senior pastor, in whom they are very pleased with. The philanthropic gesture is believed to be estimated at a whopping amount of N60 million.
