Former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, has joined the list of South West aspirants for the position of the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
His aspiration is, however subject to a waiver from the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party before he would be eligible to contest for the position, as this was clearly stated by the party’s constitution.
Ladoja, unlike other aspirants, needs to get a waiver because, just few weeks ago, he returned to the party. Sources in the know informed Happenings.com.ng that the former Governor who recently returned to PDP from Accord Party(AP), is making efforts to secure the waiver, and throw his hat into the political ring, to vie for PDP’s topmost position.
Meanwhile, he is said to have started underground consultations, and campaign ahead of his clearance by NEC so as to fully launch the bid for his aspiration.
