For many Lagosians,Thursday 10 of October 2017, was indeed a stressful day as most were left stranded, unable to get transportation to their respective destinations, because BRT buses nationwide were on strike. According to reports, they were protesting their unpaid wages, as they were yet to be compensated for the month of September.
https://happenings.com.ng gathered from a BRT operator, who asked to stay anonymous, that wages were usually paid twice a month, because it is split in half. They are paid half their salaries, in the middle of the month and at the end of the month.
However they were yet to get paid for the month of September, with many, who are fathers unable to pay school fees for their children.
