The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has rescued five people from a ghastly road accident which occurred earlier today, Saturday, 24th of June, 2017, at Itamaga, Ikorodu, Lagos.
According to eye witness reports, the victims of the accident, including four women and one man, were severely injured but were immediately taken to the trauma centre for treatment.
Confirming the incident, General Manager of LASEMA, Adesina Tiamiyu, said, “Investigation carried out by the Agency’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) at the scene of the incident revealed that a yellow commercial bus (SMK – 633XM) collided with an oncoming white commercial bus (LSD- 763XF). Further investigation revealed that the collision was as a result of reckless driving.”
Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and LASAMABUS were also said to be present at the accident scene.
