Chief Anthony Anenih, former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, has been buried.

His remains on Saturday was interred at his mausoleum in his country home at Uromi, Esan North East local government area of Edo State.

The interment was witnessed by friends, family and close associates.

Before interment, there was a funeral mass that took place at the St. Anthony Catholic Church at Uromi.

It was a well-attended session of the final burial.

It had dignitaries such as Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, James Ibori, Adams Oshiomhole, and Gov, Ifeanyi Okowa.

Others include Ex governor Peter Obi, Governors. Seriake Dickson, Godwin Obasaeki and Prince Joe Okojie among others,

The Bishop in charge while describing the deceased said Anenih was a good Christain and spoke of his conviction irrespective of political affiliation.

“He was a man of integrity who lived by his word”, the Bishop added.

Also commenting, Bishop Ogun said it would be difficult to find a replacement for Chief Anenih in Esan land.

He noted that anyone to replace him must start with the generosity of himself.
