Elozino Ogege, a mass communication undergraduate of Delta State University who was missing last week, has been found dead. However, her breasts, tongue and vital part of her body were removed by suspected ritualist.
Her body was found at 2 am on Monday, by residents along Ekrejeta road in Abraka community. According to some students in the community, Elozino might have been killed by suspected ritualists, disguised as Yahoo boys.
The Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, confirmed the incident.
He said “The family of the girl has not been informed, and they are going through excruciating pain”
The Delta State Chairman of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, Comrade Kehinde-Taiga said the CDHR would champion calls for the redeployment of the Commissioner of Police, Cp Muhammad Mustafa from the State if he fails to bring the perpetrators of the dastardly act to justice.
He also said the rate of ritual killings, murder, kidnappings, armed robbery, rape, and other social vices increased under the watch of the CP.
Comrade prince Kehinde Taiga condemned the killing of the girl and insisted that “The perpetrators must be brought to book without any form of compromise.
The CP must wake up from his slumber because justice must be served,” he further said.
