Fresh facts have emerged why two-term Ondo State governor, Olusegun Mimiko pulled out from the presidential race.

Checks revealed that Mimiko doesn’t have any presidential ambition after all that he only used it as a political gimmick to re-launch himself back into the public consciousness.

Mimiko has now dumped his presidential race for Ondo Central senatorial district.

With his new intention, Mimiko has scuttled the political dream of one of his boys, Gboye Adegbenro who is also gunning for the position.

The former governor went into hibernation immediately after his anointed successor, Eyitayo Jegede lost to another factional candidate of Peoples Democratic Party.

The division crisis within PDP led to Rotimi Akeredolu of all Progressive Congress winning the governorship election with the support of Mmiko to spite PDP.

Mimiko thereafter left PDP and recoiled into his shell to plan and restructure his political career.

While the primaries were ongoing across the country, Mimko returned into another fold of a new political party called Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
