Men banter on open love confession

“Do we like to talk about our feelings openly?”

“It depends. I can say a few vulnerable stuff when we cuddle in private…”

“Will you share your feelings on Twitter, for instance?”

“Nah. What if it doesn’t work out? I’m going to always have my friends laugh at that time I was acting like a puppy.”

“And if she’s your wife?”

“I’ll do it face to face. No public confessions.”

“But women declare their love for us all the time.”

“Men are wired differently, I think. It’s weird when a man confesses to certain things.”

“Like crying. We tell boys not to cry. It’s wrong but it’s true. So a grown man crying for love is really not something we want to acknowledge.”

“How best can a man express love?”

“By his manly actions- getting her what she desires, providing her needs, protecting her. Save the tears for the babies coming.”

“I think men should be allowed to be what they want to be.”

“I agree, but you don’t want to be that dude that cries when the NEPA bill comes just because… you want to man up.”

“Do women like men who cry and try so hard?”

“I don’t think so. They want you to bring the stars from the sky effortlessly. They want to believe you are capable of many things without breaking.”

“Is that healthy?”

“I think they want men who are like gladiators- tough on the outside, but needs to hide his head between her thighs for lust and comfort in private.”

“And love, are we capable of love that can stand the test of time?”

“Yea, sure.”

“As long as there is pounded yam and egusi soup at every interval.”
