Former Edo state Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, is in good mood right now and the reason for his happy state of mind is not far-fetched.
It is simply because of his resounding achievements as two term governor of Edo state, which was appreciated by the first class Benin Monarch, Omo N’ oba N’ Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II.
The reverend monarch, hosted the former Governor to a grand reception on Friday at his Benin Palace.
The event had in attendance Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki, Governor of Kebbi State, Sen. Abubakar Bagudu; Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal; Senate President, Bukola Saraki, who was represented by Mathew Urhoghide; Speaker of House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, represented by Hon. Pally Iriase, serving commissioners, captains of industry, traditional leaders, government functionaries and a host of others.
Happenings gathered that, the Monarch showered encomium on the former Governor for his outstanding performance by bringing socio-economic development to the state.
The Oba also gifted Oshiomhole with a special bronze art-work to show appreciation on behalf of all Edo state indigenes whom he represented and governed well during his eight years tenure.
