As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) holds its National Convention to elect a chairman today, 9 December 2017, the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike is allegedly working against any aspirant from the South West emerging as chairman of the party.

Recall that the party hierarchy has zoned the Chairmanship seat to the South West in the spirit of equity, justice and a sense of belonging, but Gov. Wike, sources reliably revealed to Happenings.com.ng is plotting against this decision.

Wike, is said to have rallied support for Prince Uche Secondus from the South South, while single-handedly sponsoring his aspiration.

He is said to have convinced many PDP governors to back Secondus for this plum position.

In light of the aforementioned move, findings by Happening.com.ng revealed that Secondus is getting the full backing of PDP governors who will certainly influence delegates from their states to cast their votes for the Rivers State born politician.

As at the time of this report, Secondus’ name is vibrating and causing disaffection in PDP, at the chagrin of some PDP northern leaders who are hell-bent on seeing one of the South West aspirants emerging the chairman.
