If you are frequent traveler, you are sure to be familiar with the chaos at the Muritala Muhammed International airport, especially at the entrance of Arrivals.
Between waiting to get picked up by a family member or getting into a cab plenty could happen to a traveler. Such as getting robbed, even worst being kidnapped.
What is ironical about the matter is the fact there are soldiers and police men stationed right outside of the Arrivals entrance of the airport.
Apparently the presence of security operatives does nothing to discourage hoodlums from robbing travelers just coming into the country. These operatives are more concerned about getting bribed by travelers, if you do not bribe them, you are left unprotected and swarmed by the avalanche of questionable characters who stand around the airport looking for victims.
Below is the picture of a man who is in apparent despair as he was robbed of his belongings and travel documents at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Ikeja, Lagos.
The government must be proactive in its protection of travelers just getting into Nigeria.
