A pigeon carrying drugs in a minute backpack has been nabbed by customs officials in Kuwait.
According to reports, the bird was caught near the Customs house in Albadi, close to the border with Iraq.
It was confirmed that the bird was carrying a total of 178 pills in form of ketamine, an anaesthetic which is also illegally taken at parties.
It is a known fact that carrier pigeons were being used to smuggle drugs in Kuwait but this was the first arrest made by authorities.
The arrest has however, caused a stir as internet users tagged it a ‘flight risk’ and urged the authorities not to grant it bail.
