Renowned hip hop singer, Wizkid is in the news again after he was given a legendary status when he broke the record of being the first musical artiste with a sold out show at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, London.

The honour has been so enormous from both fans and industry stakeholders ever since the news broke on social media.

Some of his fans started comparing him with the late Afro-beat exponent, Fela Anikulapo Kuti.

This, we gathered, didnt go down well with some top personalities in the industry who declared that the claim is disrespectful, comparing the young talent with the Afro-beat legend.

One of the veteran musicians who made his opinion public is famous Nigerian Flutist, Tee Mac Iseli who took to his social media account and expressed his disappointment from people comparing the Daddy Yo crooner with Fela.

In his post, he said “No it’s disrespectful to Fela of course. To Wizzy, it’s the greatest compliment, one he doesn’t deserve”

Meanwhile, Fela, was a Nigerian multi-instrumentalist, musician, composer, pioneer of the Afrobeat music genre, human right activist, and political maverick. He has been called “superstar, singer, musician, Panafricanist, polygamist, mystic, legend.
During the height of his popularity, he was often hailed as one of Africans most “challenging and charismatic music performers.
