Scholars or labourers?

It is not uncommon for illustrious students to aspire to earn some quick bucks on the side, especially for those who weren’t born with a silver spoon.

But doing so during school hours, in their school uniforms, is completely unacceptable and shouldn’t be encouraged.

The aim of every business owner is to maximise profit, to the point of resorting to cheap labour. But descending to the level of using kids for manual labour is a wicked, callous and inhumane act.

It is clearly deliberate, because this kids would be more than happy to earn less than half of what it would take an adult labourer to carry out this onerous task, and the contractor knows this.

It’s still a long way to go for the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), UNICEF and other NGO’s responsible for the welfare of children.
