Popular South African OAP, Bonang Matheba recently published her autobiography “Bonang From A to B” but instead of commendations, she has received massive backlash.
The eagle eyed social media community is not letting Bonang get away with how much errors are in the book. Some people broke out the red pen to pinpoint the multiple spelling and grammar errors in Ms Matheba’s autobiography.
Her publishing house, BlackBird Books, accepts that it is wholly responsible for the errors – including incorrectly listing Ms Matheba’s birthday as 24 June when it is in fact 25 June.
“I take full responsibility for what happened. The last thing I want is for black people to be accused of mediocrity and I should do better. It’s on me as the publisher. I ought to have done better,” BlackBird Books Publisher Thabiso Mahlape said.
Despite the apology, the star is not being let lose. People are wondering if this is how bad her written English is despite her being a host and presenter. One person even asked how she got her marks in her English class.
