Klopp Celebrates With Henderson

Jurgen Klopp has apologized to Marco Silva for his run into the pitch after Liverpool scored a dramatic late winner against Everton.

The German rushed on to the pitch to celebrate with Alisson after Divock Origi stoppage-time winner.

The Merseyside derby looked like it was going to end without a goal before Origi scored in the 96th minute after a rare mistake by Pickford.

Klopp was quick to recognize he was wrong and apologized to the Everton manager after the game.

“First of all, I have to apologise for my run. I apologised immediately after to Marco Silva, I didn’t want to be disrespectful,” he told BT Sports in a post-match interview.

“My respect to Everton could not be bigger after that game. We knew how strong they were but today they were outstandingly strong and difficult with the way they played.

“The goal was lucky of course but our idea was clear: we wanted to win until the last second. We wanted to show that by bringing strikers on. It was a long and open game. I think we deserved the three points
