Arsenal forward Alexander Lacazette has withdrawn from the France squad for upcoming internationals two hours after being called up.
The striker was initially left out of Didier Deschamps’ squad but was called up after Martial pulled out through injury.
Lacazette’s withdrawal comes after discussion between Arsenal and the France team medical staff.
Borussia Monchengladbach forward Alassane Plea who has scored 8 times this season has been given a maiden call up.
A statement on France team Twitter handle read:
“@LacazetteAlex is unable to join up with Les Bleus, so @borussia_en forward @alassane_plea will take his place.

Manchester City’s Benjamin has also withdrawn from the games against Netherlands and Uruguay, with Lyon’s left-back Ferland Mendy recruited as his replacement.
