A look at the highlights this day December 8;

1998 – Nkem Chukwu (then 27) and Iyke Louis Udobi (41)’s first of eight babies was born. The other seven were delivered 12 days later. The Chukwu octuplets were the first set of octuplets born in the United States. The six girls and two boys were born on this day 8 December 1998 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas. Their parents were both Nigerian-born American citizens. The octuplets were conceived with the aid of fertility medication. The first born, Ebuka, was delivered on this day December 8, 15 weeks premature. The remainder were born by Caesarean section on December 20, 13 weeks premature. The smallest of the octuplets, Odera, a girl died on December 27, a week after birth.

In 2001, however, Nkem Chukwu delivered a daughter named Favour-of-God, this time without the help of fertility medication
The children celebrated their 10th birthday in Houston on December 20, 2008, in the company of volunteers who helped in their early years.

The killer said he had low esteem and thought the fame would bring the desired ego boost he needed. Speaking he said;
