1938 – Renowned Nigerian playwright and theatre director  Olawale Gladstone Emmanuel Rotimi, best known as Ola Rotimi born – He is known for his books – ; The gods are not to be blamed, Our Husband Has Gone, Holding Talks…, . He died at age 62.

1978 – Funmilayo Ransom Kuti dies. She was an activist and an educator . She was the first woman to drive a car in Nigeria
She is the mother of legendary singer and activist Fela.

It’s Scrabble Day – Celebrate the popular board game created in 1938 by Alfred Mosher Butts, an American architect by gathering your family and friends and playing Scrabble together.
