Tuface leaves as Yemi Alade joins Timi Dakolo, Patoranking and Waje on The Voice Nigeria

Nigerian songstress, Yemi Alade, has been confirmed as the newest star to occupy the famous red  chair as a coach on season two of music reality show, The Voice Nigeria. Alade joins the trio of music acts Timi Dakolo, Patoranking and Waje who are repeating their roles as coaches who critique performances of the contestants as well as guide their teams of selected contestants and ensuring that their act wins the competition.

Director , M-Net West Africa, Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu, while speaking on Yemi Alade’s addition to the panel said, ‘Yemi Alade is widely recognised as one of Nigeria’s biggest musical exports with incredible appeal across the continent and in other international markets. Not only is she an amazing vocalist, Yemi is also recognized for her energetic and entertaining performances on stage. We are thrilled to have her join The Voice and we cannot wait for the contestants and our viewers to experience her on the show’’.

Ace Nigerian musician , Innocent Idibia popularly called TuBaba is being replaced by self acclaimed ‘King of Queens’ Yemi Alade, as he leaves the show to pursue other commitments.

The first season of the music talent show saw A’rese of #teamwaje emerge victorious winning the grand prize of an SUV and a recording contract with Universal Music.

Auditions for the second season of The Voice Nigeria were held across Nigeria in Lagos, Abuja , Port Harcourt abd Enugu recently. Preparations are in top gear for the shows’s return to television.
