Strobing is not a new term in makeup, au contraire, strobing has been around for a while, it just wasn’t called strobing. It’s a makeup technique used as an alternative to contouring. Contouring involves using dark shadows strategically placed, to define the face but strobing uses light to define the face. It’s a fantastic hack for lazy girls like me, who found contouring to be stressful, but still love the look of a defined face.
Strobing involves using highlighters to infuse light into your face by applying it where light would naturally hit your face; your cheekbones, brow bones, the center of your forehead, down your nose, and on your chin. By doing this your complexion tends to have a healthy looking radiant OOMPH!
