A 31-year-old woman, Ololade Aigboje, who lives at 1, Bolanle Oladehinde Close, Agbado, was on Thursday charged before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly stabbing her landlord with a broken bottle.
The prosecutor, Insp. Edet Okoi, told the court that the offence was committed on Nov. 13 at MAO Filling Station, Kola Road, Alakuko, a suburb of Lagos.
Okoi said a fight ensued between the accused and her landlord, Mr Aderibigbe Alao. He said that the accused, during the fight, broke a bottle and stabbed the landlord on the left palm.
“The complainant bled profusely as a result of the injury he sustained. The offence contravened Section 171 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011,’’ he said.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge. The Magistrate, Miss A.R Onilogbo, granted the accused bail in the sum of N20,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case till Dec. 9, for mention.
