Youth Next Nigeria, an organisation that encourages young people to take part in governance and politics, staged a peaceful protest in Lagos today and youths gathered in their numbers to support.
Carrying placards with the popular slogans “Our Mumu don do”, “Not too young to rule” and the words “Youths are able and strong. We deserve to rule”, “A father teaches the son for a while, then the son starts teaching the father. Now is the time” and “Power is never a privilege, it is our collective rights”, the protesters demonstrated their disapproval of government’s discrimination against youths and their demand for participation in the nation’s governance and politics.
